Property Description
Beautiful Penthouse Apartment on Resort Bonaire for Sale
Beautiful Penthouse Apartment at Resort Bonaire for Sale. Resort Bonaire Investing in the Netherlands, but with a bigger sun guarantee!
Bonaire is located in the southern part of the Caribbean Sea, off the coast of Venezuela. The island belongs to the so-called Leeward ABC islands (Aruba, Bonaire and Curaçao). The climate there is tropical, averaging 29 degrees Celsius during the day and 25 degrees Celsius at night in the best months, the winter months in the Netherlands. The island has about twenty thousand inhabitants, of which just under fifteen thousand live in the capital, Kralendijk. This makes the island much more sparsely populated than Aruba and Curaçao. Bonaire, which has a size of 294 square kilometers, has a diverse population. In addition to many people from the other islands of Curaçao and Aruba, from the Netherlands and the neighboring countries of Venezuela and Colombia, there are many people from the Dominican Republic, mostly laborers. The island offers vacationers both comfort and nature: Bonaire has many pristine shores but in the Belnem district, where Resort Bonaire is located, you will find the familiar luxury and comfort of home.
Bon Bini Bonaire Sometimes dreams come true… Resort Bonaire festively opened in October 2017 and hundreds of guests have already stayed at the resort. However, Resort Bonaire is also a dream in the more literal sense because of its unique surroundings. Enchanting Bonaire, as we have called the Dutch island from day one, is not an advertising slogan. Anyone who has been to Bonaire knows how improbably beautiful this piece of the Caribbean is. The island is among the most beautiful diving and sailing locations in the world, you will find five of the seven species of sea turtles that exist worldwide as well as many other beautifully colored tropical fish. It is not for nothing that a large part of the waters around Bonaire has been a protected nature reserve since 1979. However, even on land the views are often breathtaking. The pristine nature with cactus forests, jagged rock formations and salt lakes in the Washington Slagbaai National Park in the northwest of the island is a treat for the eyes. Salt Lake Goto is also the habitat of one of the largest flamingo populations in the world. Further south, you will find vast salt flats as well as Lac Bay with its mangrove forests. And then there is the paradise island of Klein Bonaire with its white beaches. Add to this the convivial yet luxurious amenities for vacationers in the capital Kralendijk and its surroundings and it is explained why Bonaire feels like a dream. We have been part of this dream since October 2017 with the opening of Resort Bonaire. Currently the enchantment is being perfected: this year the last of the 114 apartments and penthouses will be completed for rental. Given the growth of tourism, not only from the Netherlands but also from the United States, investing in Bonaire is extremely interesting. In short, Bonaire evokes a warm feeling from the heart and from the mind.
Resort Bonaire
The flicker of the sun on the brand-new, almost snow-white walls, reflects so powerfully that for a moment you feel like you’re looking at a piece of jewelry…And so it is, because EuroParcs Resort Bonaire has already been largely polished from a diamond in the rough to a splendor of a resort that steals the show not only on Bonaire but throughout the former Netherlands Antilles. The sparkle of the resort radiates not only from the brand new walls, but also from the water in the pool. In addition, the high quality of the pool is underlined by the presence of a sandy beach, pool bar, and meters high palm trees. In addition, our staff is carefully screened and composed, so that they carry out our vision of high-quality personal service day after day. You can get advice from them at the reception about, for example, the most beautiful day trips, the best restaurants and most attractive spots for water recreation.
Tourism
An investment at Resort Bonaire is secured in part because of the boom in tourism currently underway. Figures for 2017 will be released later, but 2016 saw over 22% growth in the first quarter alone*. And that was just tourists arriving by plane… In total numbers, the number of tourists on an annual basis is greeting towards 150,000** people with the latest growth figures. The number of vacation guests arriving by cruise boat is even larger (217,000 over 2016**). The Bonaire Tourism Bureau additionally announced that Bonaire’s rising popularity is now also anchored in a top ten ranking with the leading travel guide organization Lonely Planet. Most tourists on Bonaire are still Dutch and Americans. * Source: TUI Netherlands

Flora and fauna on land Bonaire has a steppeland landscape with cacti up to eighteen meters high, agaves (succulents)
up to a height of twelve meters and the fan tree div-divi. Also impressive is the Kibra Hacha. Kibra means broken and Hacha is translated into Dutch axe: the wood is so extremely hard that it is very difficult to cut it down. You will further find on land the famous Caribbean flamingo, the national symbol of Bonaire. Bonaire has a total of about 220 species of birds, including several species of parrots and eight species of bats. Many of these bird species roost in Wash-ington Slagbaai National Park in the northwest. Also located there is Lake Goto, home to one of the largest flamingo colonies in the world. The national park is further home to many species of reptiles: the Leeward Island is home to a total of five species of geckos, three species of teju lizards, one species of iguanas, one species of anoles and one species of snakes. Of all eleven species of reptiles, the green iguana and the Bonairean ren lizard show themselves to humans most often on the coral island. By the way, the green iguana is also considered a delicacy by the population.
Gastronomy Bonaire is Dutch, but historically it has also had strong Spanish, English, French and even Italian influences. In addition, there is the culture of the local population. All this translates to a potpourri of culinary options. You will find restaurants with the most diverse cuisines on Bonaire. Not only that, but you have the choice from a luxurious multi-course dinner to a simple chicken-with-rice meal at a local restaurant or roadside food truck. For as much as Bonaire is a hodgepodge of cultures, socializing with each other over food and drink is one of the unifying customs on the island. Indeed, the island’s chefs regularly win prizes for managing to add an extra (tropical) accent to existing dishes. However, Bonaire is also exquisite outside the restaurants. The island has no large nightclubs but you nevertheless have a variety of options for going out. From upscale beach clubs with live music on the weekends to cozy bars where you can get your feet off the floor with a mix of sultry and dance music: Bonaire has it!
Diving and snorkeling Bonaire is a Valhalla for the diving and snorkeling enthusiast. Because the coral reef extends to the coast, you only have to go knee-deep into the water and then stick your head underwater to see the most beautiful tropical fish and/or see a sea turtle pass before your eyes. Over sixty species of coral and more than 350 species of fish live at Bonaire. This makes the Dutch Caribbean island an unforgettable experience not only for adults but also for children. Renowned magazines, such as the American Scuba Diving Magazine, call Bonaire time and again the most beautiful dive site of the Caribbean archipelago. Bonaire has over 85 official diving and snorkeling sites, most of which are located directly on the coast. Especially on the west coast. As a result, the Dutch government declared part of the waters around Bonaire a protected nature reserve as early as 1979. The Bonaire Marine Park, the oldest marine reserve in the world, includes 2,600 acres of coral reef, seagrass and mangrove vegetation. The latter is mainly found in the Lac Bay lagoon that also belongs to the underwater park. However, these mangrove forests can be easily explored not only snorkeling but also by kayak.
Water sports around Bonaire The sheltered location and low currents also make the waters around Bonaire excellent for sailing. There is also a good chance that you will encounter dolphins or other marine mammals during your sailing trip. In addition, Lac Bay near Sorobon Beach on the south side of the island is particularly suitable for windsurfing: the water is shallow and the waves ideal. More towards the heart of Lac Bay, near the salt flats, there is more wind which makes this part of the lagoon popular with kite surfers.
