Almost everyone in Curacao owns a dog. Most dogs serve as a watchdog and sleep outside. You can take a dog from a shelter or if you already have a dog, you can take this or another pet to Curaçao. Find out ahead of time wheter the transportation of your pet is well regulated to make sure there are no surprises about valid documents such as a health certificate and proof of vaccinations. On Curaçao there are plenty of pet shops and veterinarians. The only dog that is forbidden in Curacao is the Pit Bull and other Pit Bull like dogs.
