Food and drinks
The water that comes from the tap in Curacao is drinkable. Also when they put ice cubes in your drink on the terraces you can drink the drink without problems with the ice cubes.
In Curaçao it is usual to eat a hot diner in the afternoon. The local food is called Kushina Krioyo (Creole cuisine) This consists of different kinds of fish dishes such as barracuda, bakkeljouw, red snapper, grouper, mula, lobster and shrimp. Also meat and poultry are often part of the meal. Like goat, beef, pork and chicken, this is also made stoba (stew). These products are plentiful in supermarkets.
Fresh fruit and vegetables are imported largely from Venezuela. You can buy it at the floating market and the supermarket. You can buy all kinds of fruits both from Europe and South America.
