Why hire your own buying agent?

When you buy a property in Willemstad or elsewhere in Curaçao, you usually deal with the seller’s agent. That agent represents the seller, not you. With your own buying agent you have an expert on your side.

What does a buying agent do for you?

mapping out your wishes and budget and searching for suitable properties;
accompanying you to viewings;
informing you about the legal and structural pros and cons of a property;
advising whether a building inspection is needed;
negotiating price and terms on your behalf;
checking conditions (such as a financing condition), special clauses and penalty clauses in the purchase agreement;
checking the deed of transfer and the notary’s settlement statement;
inspecting the property with you before the transfer and recording the meter readings;
putting you in touch with a valuer, notary or mortgage adviser if needed.

What does a buying agent cost?
