Oil refinery WILLEMSTAD – The government of Curaçao has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Chinese company Guangdong Zhenrong Energy Co. LTD. that is specialized in trade and investment of energy and natural resources commodities in close relation to the national economy and civil life.
Prime Minister Dr. Bernhard Whiteman signed on behalf of Curaçao and Binyan Chen, President Guandong Zhenrong Energy, signed on behalf of the company. The Multi-Disciplinary Project Team (MDPT) that is in charge of the negotiations between PdVSA and the government was also present.
The signing of this cooperation and investment agreement of 10 billion dollars that is important for the oil refinery and in particular for the renovation, modernization and complete inspection of the refinery.
Guangdong Zhenrong Energy Co., Ltd. is an integrated company founded in 2002.
