Cura\u00e7ao has a special (tax) regime (pensioners) for people who want to live in Curacao and want to enjoy their retirement on Curacao,or want to be the director \/ shareholder of a company. Under this scheme there is \u00a0a tax rate of only 10 percent for foreign income. The conditions are:<\/p>\n
You must be 50 years or older.
\nYou must live in Cura\u00e7ao (only registration is not sufficient).
\nYou are not allowed to have lived on Curacao for the previous six years.
\nWithin 18 months, you must have purchased a home in Curacao for a minimum of EUR 225,000 (depending on the course), which is also available for you.
\nYou may not work in Curacao.
\nBut you may be a director of a company (if you have 40 percent of the shares).
